Latest Updates from Our Project:

Pulling The Trigger
almost 7 years ago – Fri, May 05, 2017 at 11:02:15 PM

Hello once again friends, fellow gamers and Kickstarter backers! We have some more exciting news for you. All of our minor adjustments and analysis of the prototypes are completed. Everything is now up to our rigorous standards. Nothing is more important to us than our fans and backers and it has always been our number one goal to bring you the very best possible products as soon as possible. Although we were hoping to get this update posted last night (Thursday May 4th), we encountered a minor setback with the size available from the manufacturers for the expansion rule booklet, so we had to resize it for. As you are all probably well aware, standard paper sizes are different in other countries. It is now a hair smaller than the expansion box, so 7.28 inches by 4.72 inches or 120mm x 185mm for all of our friends abroad. With this hiccup resolved, we have pulled the trigger and Wingo Games will now begin producing both the Core Set of Fallen Land: A Post-Apocalyptic Board Game and its first expansion, A Journey into Darkness!

From here on out, the ball begins to pick up speed. Wingo has quoted us 40 days to manufacture the sets. After that, we estimate it will be at least 30 days on the boat. We have had some recent developments in that area that we are currently researching, because we hope to trim that time down a little bit. Right now, as it stands, we are looking at early to mid-July. As we have done throughout this process, we will continue to communicate all information via KS and on our Facebook page and twitter as it is updated and further develops. We are seriously itching for you to get your copies and play them both as soon as possible. We can’t wait for you to enjoy the fruits of our hard fought thirteen years of development. Every day, we continue to receive excited letters, emails and PMs from our excited family of gamers from around the world. On many occasions, I have very much enjoyed speaking to many of you. We also continue to send out the promo cards every day as well. People are super excited to get their hands on their copies and we are super excited for you all to play!

Below is the long-anticipated link to the twelve-page Rule Booklet for A Journey into Darkness.

Early tomorrow morning, we are revamping our website and tidying up a few other things on our long to do list. There will be a copy of it accessible on our website www.fallendominionstudios.com and available on the Board Game Geek website as well. We will also be posting some new pictures etc..

In the next couple of days, we will also get the Core Set and Expansion down to the post office to weigh them. My small postal scale here at the studio only goes up to 5lbs, so obviously it is heavier than we initially anticipated--but we will have the actual weights for you all soon. They will include: The Kickstarter Core Set, The Retail Core Set, the Expansion, the Kickstarter Core set + Expansion and finally the Retail Core Set + Expansion.

We love to hear from all of you, so please comment below and share the news! We’d love to your thoughts and questions too! Please tell your gaming groups about our game and give our Facebook page a “Like” if you haven’t done so already. We are just short of 900 followers! Help us reach that goal!

In addition, Fallen land: A Post-Apocalyptic Board Game is still available with the stretch goals for a just a little while longer, so please pre-order your copies on Indiegogo, at the link below:

Hello again, friends, fellow gamers and patrons!

At long last it has arrived!  The VERY first externally manufactured copy of Fallen Land: A Post-Apocalyptic Board Game and its 1st Expansion: A Journey Into Darkness.  We are very excited to show you the product in its full glory, that we have worked tirelessly on over the course of the last thirteen years (by burning the midnight oil).  None of this would have been possible without YOU, our backers.  Thank you!  We would also like to thank our friends and manufacturing partners at Wingo Games for  their hard work printing the prototypes of our products for a final review by us, before we pull the trigger on mass production.  We have already sent them a list of a few minor changes.  We should have a response back from them on Monday.

Below is a link to our short unboxing video and some quick snap shots of our products.  We have already scheduled with our professional photographer Kent Anderson, who will be doing an updated photo shoot of the product very soon.  We just couldn't wait. :)

Most importantly, we wanted to show you all that everything is progressing nicely towards our goal of getting you YOUR copies as soon as possible.  Here at Fallen Dominion Studios, LLC, all of you are always our number one priority.  The sooner we can get these games into your hands, the happier we'll be.  We know from all of your positive messages and all of the great feedback we have received, it has become a highly anticipated event.  We certainly appreciate your patience.  All of our backers, fans and reviewers are are all super excited to play the game.  We wish you were all closer to us here in Iowa :)  Again, thank you for all of the wonderful responses so far.  We are also very excited that word about our game continues to spread.  So, without further adieu, here you go.  We'd love to hear  your thoughts, questions and comments.  Enjoy!

Manufacturing Update #2
about 7 years ago – Thu, Mar 30, 2017 at 04:54:06 PM

Gamicon 2017
Gamicon 2017

Greeting friends, fellow gamers and fans! Sorry for the delay. It is VERY important to us that everything meets our high standards, as this is the fruit of our labors for the last 13 years. It's got to be perfect for you folks and for us.  As of March 15th, the game has been sent to the manufacturer!  I cannot even begin to tell you how many late nights this has taken and the long hours we put in top accomplish this.  As this is our first product, it took time to coordinate, adapt and convert our massive files for production overseas.  But it is finally there!  Now we know the process and have plans to have all of that ready to go before our next expansion on Kickstarter.

We received an email two days ago from our manufacturer, Wingo confirming the samples, a complete prototype core set of Fallen Land: A Post-Apocalyptic Board Game and complete prototype expansion set: A journey Into Darkness, should be done on their end on or before April 10th.  We are predicting it will then take perhaps a week to arrive back here in the states at the studio.

As soon as we receive the samples, we will immediately post another update with a lot of nice pictures! :)

Tell your friends!  They can still pre-order copies here

Production Update And Some Other Goodies
about 7 years ago – Thu, Feb 09, 2017 at 08:45:52 PM

Greeting friends, fellow gamers and fans!

Work continues finalizing the decks for the manufacturer.  We are putting in a ton of late nights and some seriously long hours.  Barring any unforeseen setbacks, we are on schedule to have this amazing beast-of-a-game off to the manufacturer on February 17th.   From there, we should have a sample on hand for review on or before March 12th.  We will be sure to post some pictures when it arrives.  After we give the final thumbs up, Wingo says about 35 days for mass production and another 30 days for delivery by sea.

We will keep you posted as things develop. :)

Recently, we had another honorable mention for Fallen Land: A Post Apocalyptic Board Game on the webisode of Dice Tower's "Throat Punch Lunch: Episode 14- Merry New Year! The segment is Bowers Game Corner, which is around 28:23 in the video, NUMBER 1 OF HIS MOST ANTICIPATED ! :) You can watch the awesome video here:

Here is another one of the Faction Stories (Warning Spoiler Alert)

The Swamp Runners
The Swamp Runners

Shreveport sustained mass casualties from the biological weapons used in the Great War. Many residents suffered horrible deaths, while others looted and pillaged the city gripped by madness and set it ablaze. Other horrors followed, like radiation sickness and cannibalism. When several dams upriver failed, they unleashed the power of the mighty Mississippi. Mother Nature almost seemed to rejoice at the prospect of washing away the blight and pestilence, as countless river towns were smashed and washed downstream. When the unstoppable river torrent finally crashed into Shreveport, much of the habitable area around the river basin was turned into a massive delta of swamp lands.

Despite these challenges, many of the survivors in Southern Louisiana made the grim pilgrimage north, settling in the abandoned husk of Shreveport. Forming clans of scavengers, they began to slowly rebuild. Over the years, these clans merged until they united under the banner of the Swamp Runners. With their combined ingenuity and resourcefulness, they sank hundreds of wooden posts into the muck and constructed a town on top of the water. Accessible only by fan boat, it features an impressive array of docks, fortified warehouses and buildings constructed out of metal cargo containers. The infrastructure is connected by an intricate network of boardwalks, bridges and zip lines.

Surprisingly, the Swamp Runners control the largest territory of the Ten Towns, despite having the fewest citizens. Notorious for their smuggling and spy networks, they specialize in acquisition and purvey hard to find items to the highest bidder. Commodities like fuel, medical supplies and drugs often top their list and it is even whispered they even delve in human trafficking. The leader of the Swamp Runners has traditionally been the Baroness. Favoring thugs and hired guns over a large militia, she uses them surgically to make examples out of her enemies--often in unique ways. Although many regard the Swamp Runners as unmanageable rogues, their services are utilized by all. Their strategy is to continue to play their enemies and competition off against one another and to further their own agenda and establish dominance over the Ten Towns.

Lastly, one of our Hero of the Fallen Lands Backers and his wife got their shirts.  You should too!  They are available on our website.  www.fallendominionstudios.com
