From all of us here at Fallen Dominion Studios to all of our friends, fellow gamers and fans out there: Happy New Year to you all! We have a lot of AMAZING surprises in store for all of you coming up in 2017. And we can't wait to share them with you. :)
Of the last twelve years working on our first release Fallen Land: A Post-Apocalyptic Board Game, 2016 was the busiest for us, but the payoff was a lot of great memories. We have all grown a tremendous amount in the last year, and we know that 2017 holds a lot of promise for the company as we continue to grow. Work continues each and every day on preparing Fallen Land for the manufacturer. Everything is getting its final polish right now. Although this process is taking us longer than we'd like it to, we should be done with everything no later than February 1st.
We are excited for you all to get your copies of Fallen Land and for those who haven't yet played, we know you're going to love it. It's like nothing you've ever played before and we're also very confident it will quickly become one of your favorites, with its unlimited sandbox style game play.
Looking ahead, we have several more expansions planned and several other games in the works. We want you to be just as excited about them as we are! :) Thanks for believing in us. Thanks for your patience and support. None of this would be possible without all of you folks out there. Here's to a great 2017!
*Cheers!*

Here is a sneak peak of the Faction stories that were unlocked via Kickstarter. Each of the ten factions will have one of these on the back of their Town Play Mat. Enjoy!
The New Federalists
Albany, Georgia
The New Federalists Albany, Georgia In the early hours of the Great War Albany braced for attack. Washington D.C. was already gone and the long list of dusted cities just kept growing. The first missiles targeting Albany were destroyed by THAAD missile defense batteries. The next round were detonated in the atmosphere and caused a series of electromagnetic pulses that knocked out power and electronics all across the Eastern seaboard. With the chain of command broken, the base commander panicked. Recalling troops and their families, the base was ordered on lock down and its defenses were reinforced. It remained closed to the outside during the Maddening and when refugees arrived at the gates and begging for assistance, they were turned away empty handed. The situation often turned violent and eventually the angry refugees grew to outnumber the defenders and formed a gang. When they lay siege to the base, the trapped defenders were forced to strike a deal with a consortium of bounty hunters calling themselves The Death’s Head Mercs. Their counter-attack eliminated the gang threat. After that, they prospered.
Over the years, the defenders came to call themselves the New Federalists and a town grew inside their crumbling base. Protected by rusty chain link fences and razor wire, the lichen choked concrete is scattered with ugly metal buildings, fortified bunkers and watchtowers. The New Federalists are considered the premier weapon outfitters in the Fallen Land and as a result, the town has also become a haven for mercenaries and marauders. A hefty tax is collected from these visiting groups, which is paid in pillaged supplies and scavenged tech. In return, they are granted access for R&R, trade and to negotiate their mercenary contracts. Many powerful organizations come here to hire them. Because these mercenaries are a rowdy and dangerous bunch, they must be kept in check by a large heavily-armed militia. However, despite these safeguards, the town has a distinct wild west feel to it, with nightly gunfights in the streets between rival mercenary outfits.
Unlike many Factions, the New Federalists are not what they seem. Although their banner resembles Old Glory and implies ties to the former United States, their leader The Colonel, is more of a ruthless warlord than a force for order. Hoping to unite the Ten Towns under an iron dictatorship, the New Federalist forces are always bolstering their ranks through forced conscription from the outlying farmsteads. Simply put, the New Federalists are only tolerated by the other Factions because they supply them with weapons--and for the right price, muscle. However, all is not lost. Often overshadowed by the pre-war military culture and traditions, a group of citizens here strives for real change by rewriting old history books and reeducating the population of the Ten Towns with their hubris and propaganda.
