Latest Updates from Our Project:

Happy New Year Update!
over 7 years ago – Tue, Jan 03, 2017 at 06:07:21 PM

From all of us here at Fallen Dominion Studios to all of our friends, fellow gamers and fans out there: Happy New Year to you all! We have a lot of AMAZING surprises in store for all of you coming up in 2017. And we can't wait to share them with you. :)

Of the last twelve years working on our first release Fallen Land: A Post-Apocalyptic Board Game, 2016 was the busiest for us, but the payoff was a lot of great memories. We have all grown a tremendous amount in the last year, and we know that 2017 holds a lot of promise for the company as we continue to grow. Work continues each and every day on preparing Fallen Land for the manufacturer. Everything is getting its final polish right now. Although this process is taking us longer than we'd like it to, we should be done with everything no later than February 1st.

We are excited for you all to get your copies of Fallen Land and for those who haven't yet played, we know you're going to love it. It's like nothing you've ever played before and we're also very confident it will quickly become one of your favorites, with its unlimited sandbox style game play.

Looking ahead, we have several more expansions planned and several other games in the works. We want you to be just as excited about them as we are! :) Thanks for believing in us. Thanks for your patience and support. None of this would be possible without all of you folks out there. Here's to a great 2017!

*Cheers!*

Here is a sneak peak of the Faction stories that were unlocked via Kickstarter.  Each of the ten factions will have one of these on the back of their Town Play Mat.  Enjoy!

The New Federalists Town Play Mat
The New Federalists Town Play Mat

 The New Federalists

  Albany, Georgia

The New Federalists Albany, Georgia In the early hours of the Great War Albany braced for attack. Washington D.C. was already gone and the long list of dusted cities just kept growing. The first missiles targeting Albany were destroyed by THAAD missile defense batteries. The next round were detonated in the atmosphere and caused a series of electromagnetic pulses that knocked out power and electronics all across the Eastern seaboard. With the chain of command broken, the base commander panicked. Recalling troops and their families, the base was ordered on lock down and its defenses were reinforced. It remained closed to the outside during the Maddening and when refugees arrived at the gates and begging for assistance, they were turned away empty handed. The situation often turned violent and eventually the angry refugees grew to outnumber the defenders and formed a gang. When they lay siege to the base, the trapped defenders were forced to strike a deal with a consortium of bounty hunters calling themselves The Death’s Head Mercs. Their counter-attack eliminated the gang threat. After that, they prospered.

Over the years, the defenders came to call themselves the New Federalists and a town grew inside their crumbling base. Protected by rusty chain link fences and razor wire, the lichen choked concrete is scattered with ugly metal buildings, fortified bunkers and watchtowers. The New Federalists are considered the premier weapon outfitters in the Fallen Land and as a result, the town has also become a haven for mercenaries and marauders. A hefty tax is collected from these visiting groups, which is paid in pillaged supplies and scavenged tech. In return, they are granted access for R&R, trade and to negotiate their mercenary contracts.  Many powerful organizations come here to hire them. Because these mercenaries are a rowdy and dangerous bunch, they must be kept in check by a large heavily-armed militia. However, despite these safeguards, the town has a distinct wild west feel to it, with nightly gunfights in the streets between rival mercenary outfits.

Unlike many Factions, the New Federalists are not what they seem. Although their banner resembles Old Glory and implies ties to the former United States, their leader The Colonel, is more of a ruthless warlord than a force for order. Hoping to unite the Ten Towns under an iron dictatorship, the New Federalist forces are always bolstering their ranks through forced conscription from the outlying farmsteads. Simply put, the New Federalists are only tolerated by the other Factions because they supply them with weapons--and for the right price, muscle. However, all is not lost. Often overshadowed by the pre-war military culture and traditions, a group of citizens here strives for real change by rewriting old history books and reeducating the population of the Ten Towns with their hubris and propaganda.

Moving Foward

Hello once again fellow Kickstarter backers, friends and fellow gamers!

We wanted to give everyone a quick update as to how things are progressing. Things are going well and we are continuing to burn the midnight oil to get everything ready to go to the manufacturer.

Work continues on the Faction stories and the other Kickstarter bonuses. We are also in the process of reexamining, revamping and changing a few minor items in the rulebook and with the expansion.

As we have pointed out many times, creating and producing a massive game like Fallen Land is a lot of work. We are moving forward each and every day as fast as we can to get this thing finalized. We can’t wait for you folks to play the game and we know that once you have you’ll agree it was worth the wait. :)

Your fellow Kickstarter backer Philip S. Bolger joined us in early October to help the studio with this campaign. He received one of our six pre-production copies of the game for his efforts and help and has been a great asset so far to our team. Phil created a quiz titled “Which Fallen Land Faction Should You Join?” and we encourage everyone to check it out! It features some sneak peak information not yet released for the game and is clever and well thought out. Simply follow the link below!

https://www.qzzr.com/c/quiz/290519/which-fallen-land-faction-should-you-join

We will keep you posted and will have some new information for you every two weeks at the very least! Thanks for your patronage and support. Nothing is more important to us than YOU our fans and backers.  Thank you.

Best,

 ~Sean and Jon

P.S. We continue to receive questions from the masses asking how they can purchase more copies of the game and how they can increase their order. Simply follow the link below:

P.S.S. If you still haven’t gotten your copies of the Gen Con Promo cards, Simply send a self addressed stamped envelope to:

We will get these off to you promptly after they arrive!

Pledge Manager coming soon.
over 7 years ago – Thu, Oct 13, 2016 at 11:41:43 AM

Thank you for making our project a reality!

A few things need to happen before we can kick off production and fulfillment.

I have been working with Tommy over at Backerkit to get our Pledge manager survey up and running.  Just have a few kinks to work out before we send them.  You will not need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey.  The invitation email will contain a link to your personal survey.  It is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can since we need this information to process your rewards.  If you need to change your survey responses, add or remove add-ons, or update your shipping information, you can click on the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.)

If you prefer, you can just message me and give me your information, but answering your survey will help us get your rewards out to you quicker.  BackerKit helps us save lots of time by streamlining the survey process, automating data organization, and providing us with pledge management software to make it easy to process your pledge reward shipments.   If you used Facebook to log into your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey link will be sent to the email you used for your Facebook account.  Again, thanks for all your support. We can’t wait to send you your copy of Fallen Land.

We will post another update just before we release the pledge manager.

Cheers,

Sean and Jon

Exciting News!

Hello Kickstarter Backers, friends and fellow gamers!

Another quick update for all of you folks.  We wanted to let you guys know that NOTHING is more important to us than you, the players.

Every day people keep asking us, "How can we get the two free promo cards that you guys were giving away at Gen Con 49 this year?  Well, we have an answer!

Simply send us a self addressed stamped envelope, with another envelope inside that has the return postage on it, along with your return address.  We will then send both of the cards to you!  That's it!  Our address is:

Fallen Dominion Studios, LLC

C/O Jon Lonngren

3 Partridge Court,

Iowa City, Iowa,

52246

USA

Sadly, we cannot sell these cards, but we can give them away because they are parodies. They are available if you want them.  To mail a small letter within the US, right now is about .94 cents (.47 cents each way).  To ship a small letter internationally, for example Germany to the US and back, it is approximately $2.30 ($1.15 each way).  We wish shipping a hefty 5 pound game was just as cheap!

These cards are seriously bad ass and will not be included in any box set, now or in the future!  So get your free promo cards now!

Remember, there are only 9 days left in our campaign!  Please keep posting and sharing our links on social media and telling all of your gamer friends!

We would really love to unlock the rest of these stretch goals and even create a few new ones for all of you!  But we need all of your help to do it.  Thank you for your patronage and support!

Cheers,

~Jon and Sean
